To our loyal fans, drivers, employees, and crew members – It was announced Friday at our banquet that 2022 will be the final season for Joe & Steve Kosiski to promote I-80 Speedway as a racetrack. We have had the pleasure of serving the racing community for the last 19 years and we plan to make our final season an unforgettable one.
\nBe sure to mark your calendars for the 12th and final Silver Dollar Nationals to be hosted by I-80 Speedway July 20-23 featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Series. We look forward to crowning our last set of Track champions in 2022 and hope it is a title many drivers will choose to run for. Our Final two race weekends for the 2022 season will be the Cornhusker Classic October 7-8 & The World of Outlaw sprints will take on I-80 Speedway on Friday October 14th with our final event being held on Saturday October 15th – A farewell event for Bob Kosiski’s Birthday featuring The Malvern Bank West & Hoker Trucking East Super Late Models, Modifieds, Stock Cars & Bragging Rights Late Models.
\nWe would like to clarify to everyone that while we have a very promising and almost completed contract for the sale of the track, that I-80 Speedway is NOT officially sold. If there is someone that would like to purchase I-80 and continue operating it as a track we would encourage you to reach out to Joe as the contract we currently have will not be operating the facility as a racetrack moving forward. If this contract, we currently have does not come through we do not plan to operate past the 2022 season.
