Qualifying Procedures for the 2015 Silver Dollar Nationals<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The qualifying procedures for the Fifth Annual Silver Dollar Nationals (SDN) will be very similar to those used in the first four SDN’s with a couple of changes, The popular double qualifying heats will be retained. <\/span><\/p>\n

18 cars will qualify out of the heat races (qualifiers) and 6 more cars will qualify from the last chance races. In addition, there will be provisionals awarded as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

2 for Lucas Oil Dirt Series (highest drivers in Lucas Oil points not qualified)<\/span><\/p>\n

2 for MLRA (highest drivers in MLRA points not qualified)<\/span><\/p>\n

2 from I-80 Track Points (Those two cars will have had to race all I-80 Weekly shows prior to the<\/span><\/p>\n

SDN to be eligible for consideration and will be the two eligible I-80 cars that finish the highest in attempting to qualify for the SDN that do not make it.)<\/span><\/p>\n

The Belt Bash winner has the option taking his first place money of $3,000 or a provisional into the Silver Dollar Nationals. Remember last year, Tony Jackson, Jr. won the Belt Bash and then turned down the $3,000 first place money to start 34<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> in the Silver Dollar Nationals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Cubby’s Chase to the Silver Dollar Nationals has been added to the Silver Dollar Nationals and that event featuring 18 cars in three six lap segments will be the last event of the evening on Friday, July 17. Don’t forget to visit the Cubbys Greenwood Truck Plaza just across from I-80 Speedway at 13604 238<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> Street, Greenwood, Nebraska and thank them for supporting the Silver Dollar Nationals and I-80 Speedway.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Cubby’s Chase to the Silver Dollar Nationals winner has the option of taking his first place money of $2,000 or taking a provisional into the SDN.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 80 lap feature will pay $32,000 to win and $1,500 to start. The popular Belt Bash non qualifiers race (for the first 20 cars that do not make the SDN feature) will pay $3,000 to win and $300 to start. <\/span><\/p>\n

The tire rule for the SDN will be as follows; Right Rear: Hoosier WRS 55, LM 40 or L06 only, Left Rear: Hoosier WRS 55, LM40 or 1640 only, Front: Hoosier WRS 55’s only.<\/span><\/p>\n
