One of the reason’s that this year’s Silver Dollar Nationals is paying a whopping $53,000 to win is that Imperial Tile Dist. Inc has stepped up to provide sponsorship for the event. The Seventh Annual Silver Dollar Nationals goes down on July 20, 21 & 22 at I-80 Speedway and this year it will pay out the third largest check to a winner of a Dirt Late Model event. Only Eldora’s Dream and the Dirt Track World Championship which pays $100,000 to the winner are larger.<\/span><\/p>\n

That’s not all, the companion USMTS feature has jumped to $10,000 to win in part do to the backing of both Moock Trucking and Wojo Painting helping to make the Silver Dollar Nationals one of largest purses in dirt track racing.<\/span><\/p>\n

But its not just about the 30 or so drivers that make the big race. There is also a non qualifier race that will pay $3,000 to and $400 to start in 2017 sponsored by local home builder Al Belt. The Belt assures that almost all the driver who do not make the 80 lap feature go home with some decent money.<\/span><\/p>\n

With this kind of money at stake, action on the big wide I-80 oval should be even more fast and furious. As the word spreads among the racing community and more new fans flock to \u201cthat damn track in Nebraska\u201d as Scott Bloomquist called it, the Silver Dollar Nationals just gets bigger and bigger.
