Elkhorn’s Nick Woodard and Palmyra’s Eric Rempel are engaged in a hectic battle for the 2017 I-80 Speedway Rotella’s Stock Car Championship. With just three weeks to go, Woodard holds a very slim two-point (746 to 744) lead over Rempel. NASCAR Stock Car action returns on August 4 & again on August 18 before the final points night of the season on Sunday, September 3 at All Star Sunday.

In the Ty’s Outdoor Power & Service B Mods, Nebraska City’s Shawn Harker and Lincoln’s Mark Leiting are seperated by just six points. Harker leads Leiting (734 to 728) with South Bend’s Gunnar Pike just ten back at 724. In the River City Heating & Cooling Compacts, Dan Markham of Murray has a lead of just eight points over Jeremy Bohlen of Percival, Iowa (730 to 722).

Action resumes this Friday, August 4 with Veteran’s Night and Kid’s Box Car Races with six NASCAR Classes in action, Cubby’s Super Late Models, Custom Diesel Driver’s Training A Mods, Kosiski Auto Parts Bragging Rights Late Models, Ty’s Outdoor Power & Service B Mods, Rotella’s Stock Cars and River City Heating & Cooling Compacts. Racing starts at 7:15.
